Puerto del Carmen, Spain
Casa Marsá, designed by architect Luis Díaz Feria in 1995, is a private residence located at Calle Peñas Blancas 14, 35510 Puerto del Carmen, Las Palmas, Spain. The design features two white cubic volumes aligned with the northern boundary and the street, connected by a pergola with a semi-circular roof. This pergola creates optimal shadow patterns throughout the year. A glazed dining area serves as a passive solar collector and facilitates interior circulation without corridors. The house emphasizes intense ventilation, air quality, personal privacy, and the potential for independent expansion by each sister. Constructed with a limited budget, the building utilizes concrete block, aluminum, and mortar.
