What we collect
When you suggest a place
Title, address, GPS coordinates, description, architect, year, categories, access type (public or private), photos, photo credit, your “Posted by” name or link, and your email address. If you create a member account (optional)
Username, name, email address and password (stored encrypted), or, if you sign in with Google, the name, email address and profile picture provided by Google. Your public profile shows your display name and the places you contributed. Your comments are public and show your display name. Your likes are linked to your account; the number of likes on each place is public.
When you report a problem
The reason, your message, the photos you selected, the page concerned and, optionally, your email address (required for photo or copyright claims, so we can reply to you).
When you use the AI description assistant
The title, address, architect, year and coordinates you typed are sent to OpenAI to draft a description. Your email address is never sent. You can edit the result before submitting.
