9 rue Jules Ferry, Séméac, France
In the early 1950s, in response to a growing population, the town of Séméac commissioned a multifunctional gymnasium with cultural, sports, and post-school purposes, awaiting the construction of a neighboring school complex in 1957. The project was entrusted to departmental architect Raoul Fourcaud, with initial sketches from 1951 and the building inaugurated in 1955. The main rectangular hall measures 36.69 m by 20.50 m and features a parabolic roof. Three sides of the hall are bordered by rectangular volumes housing auxiliary program elements, including locker rooms, equipment storage, meeting rooms, a library, and staff accommodation.
