Centre nautique

Culture · by Henri Brunerie · 1969

7 allée des Causses, Toulouse, France

Built between 1969 and 1970, the nautical center is one of the facilities within Ancely city, also known as the Château d’Ancely residence. Designed by architect Henri Brunerie, who trained initially at the École Boulle and later at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, where he graduated in 1953, the center reflects his architectural vision. Brunerie established his practice in Albi in 1954 and served as a consulting architect for multiple regions, including Cantal, Aveyron, and Hérault. He also contributed to various public projects, including hospitals, and was the brother of Roger Brunerie, the chief architect of Toulouse from 1949 to 1972.
