The Bolwoningen, designed by Dries Kreijkamp in 1984, are a cluster of 50 spherical houses located in the Maaspoort neighborhood of 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. Each house features a fiberglass-reinforced concrete sphere with a diameter of 5.5 meters, mounted atop a cylindrical base housing storage and utility areas. The interior comprises three levels: a bedroom on the lower level, a bathroom on the middle level, and an open-plan living area with a kitchen on the upper level. The design emphasizes energy efficiency and low maintenance, with prefabricated components assembled swiftly. The community is situated near a canal, contributing to its distinctive architectural presence.
