The École des Mines in Benguerir, Morocco, designed by Bofill Taller de Arquitectura and completed in 2016, is part of the Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique campus. The building spans 15,000 square meters over three levels, accommodating classrooms, an amphitheater, and administrative offices. Its design features a grid of square modules, some opening into internal courtyards that provide shaded outdoor spaces. The exterior presents a relatively closed elevation to the road, incorporating local vernacular elements such as circular openings and chamfered doorways. Constructed primarily of concrete with a warm orange render, the building connects with the broader architectural language of the campus. (bofill.com)
