3 rue Maurice Audin, Vaulx-en-Velin, France

The National School of Architecture in Lyon was inaugurated on November 22, 1988, by the Minister of Equipment and Housing. Located in Vaulx-en-Velin on the site of the National School of Public Works, the establishment addresses over two decades of uncertainty regarding its location, following various relocations of the regional architecture school. This school was affiliated with the Beaux-Arts school until 1968. The architectural project was selected through an international design competition initiated by the state in 1981, involving nine competing teams.
