Arrecife, Spain
Edificio Plazuela, designed by Luis Díaz Feria in 2005, is located at Plaza de la Constitución, 5, 35500 Arrecife, Las Palmas, Spain. The building integrates a restructured ground floor of a former family residence with new upper floors that are set back to distinguish between the old and new volumes. Access is through a distributor hall leading to the Fundación César Manrique's gallery and auditorium on the ground floor, the FCM library, and offices on the second and third floors. Two lateral commercial spaces complete the program. The first-floor library is pending execution. (lacasadelaarquitectura.es)
