Religion · by François Lesenechal · 1954

rue d'Anjou, Ingrandes-Le Fresne sur Loire, France

The new church was constructed after the war to replace the previous one destroyed by bombings on July 23, 1944. The reconstruction of Ingrandes was overseen by departmental architect Henri Enguehard, appointed in September 1947, while Frédéric Le Sénéchal served as the church's architect. The cornerstone was laid on September 19, 1954, in the presence of the bishop, the prefect, and representatives from various construction companies, including masonry firm Pichon and metal framework company Bréhéret, responsible for the bell tower, chapel wing, and sacristy. The church was completed on June 10, 1956.
