1 avenue de l'Illustration, Bobigny, France
The Église de Tous-les-Saints, located in the Cité de l'Étoile in Bobigny, was commissioned in 1956 by the HLM company Emmaüs and designed by architect Georges Candilis. Candilis, who had previously won the "Million" competition in 1955 with Alexis Josic and Shadrach Woods aimed at drastically reducing construction costs, advocated for sustainable housing over temporary solutions. The layout of the Cité de l'Étoile features small four-story bars, some on pilotis, arranged in an offset pattern around a central street. Additionally, there is a striking 16-story tower with four wings, enhancing the urban landscape.
