Religion · by Jules Febvre · 1933
Avenue Pierre Cartier, 06000 Nice, France
The Notre-Dame-Auxiliatrice Church in Nice is a Catholic Art Deco building, constructed between 1924 and 1933 by architect Jules Febvre.
It was the first church in France built by the Salesians and can hold up to 1,000 worshippers.
The interior is notable for its decoration: frescoes by Eugène Doucet, stained-glass windows, a large cross on the ceiling, and furnishings inspired by Early Christian art.
The church has been listed as a historical monument since 2001, with enhanced protection granted in 2017.
