30 avenur du Maréchal-Lyautey, Poissy, France
The Saint-Louis-de-Beauregard Church, built between 1957 and 1961 by architect Gustave Stoskopf, serves as a centerpiece for a housing complex for workers of the Simca automobile factories. This edifice features a Latin cross layout with a flat roof, constructed from reinforced concrete and supported by a metal truss framework. The side walls, set away from the columns, consist of an alternating pattern of molded cement panels and tinted glass tiles, creating a checkerboard effect. Blue tones characterize the nave while red hues dominate the choir, with designs crafted by Jacques Michel, who embedded colored antique glass between two layers of tempered glass.
