Église Saint-Pierre
Religion · by Jacques Prioleau · 1957
rue de la Source ; rue du Mercure, Thèreval, France
The Saint-Pierre Church was reconstructed by architect Jacques Prioleau between 1957 and 1959, retaining the porch and part of the gabled tower from the original church, which was destroyed during Operation Cobra in July 1944. The design incorporates mixed materials, featuring rows of rectangular precast concrete bays integrated into stone masonry. The rectangular volume is topped with a slate gabled roof, prominently displaying a large window on the south side, contrasting with the bell tower positioned to the north.
