32-42, 37-45 avenue du Six-Juin, Caen, France
The project on Avenue du Six-Juin aims to provide a monumental perspective as it traverses the reconstructed downtown of Caen. Initially entrusted to chief architect Marc Brillaud de Lajaurdière, the rational prefabricated buildings program I.R.P. was handed over to Pierre Dureuil in 1950. Construction of this ensemble took place between 1951 and 1956 and is recognized as one of the key achievements of the Reconstruction of Caen.
