Calle del Marqués de Riscal 7, 28010 Madrid, Madrid, Spain
The Frontón Beti Jai in Madrid, designed by Joaquín Rucoba and completed in 1894, is an outstanding example of late 19th-century sports architecture. The building combines iron structure and brick masonry, reflecting industrial-era construction techniques. Its most distinctive feature is the elongated open court surrounded by four tiers of cantilevered galleries, which provide excellent visibility and natural ventilation. The façades show an eclectic style with Neo-Mudéjar influences, expressed through decorative brickwork, arches, and ceramic details. Functionality and elegance are closely integrated, making the Frontón Beti Jai both a technical achievement and a refined architectural landmark.
