The renovation wraps the historic station façade in a vast glass canopy, creating a transparent envelope that protects and enlarges the concourse. Rather than hiding the old building, the new skin sets it slightly back, allowing the original stone front to remain visible behind the glass. The curved form improves passenger flow by providing generous interior space for circulation, ticketing, and waiting. Daylight is used as wayfinding, making the station feel open and safer while preserving its historic character. It is a careful dialogue between heritage and contemporary engineering, using glass to add capacity without erasing memory.
