2 boulevard Pierre-de-Coubertin, Nevers, France
The chosen site for Nevers' modern "House of the People" significantly shaped its design, situated near the city center and below the municipality, bordered by Boulevard Pierre de Coubertin and the Loire River. This facility was part of an urban development plan from the early 1960s, which included a proposed footbridge over the boulevard to connect the old city with the river; however, the bridge was never constructed. Ultimately, the project resulted in a single building that encompasses three types of "houses": a House of Culture, a House of Labor, and a House of Sports.
