Rathaus

Friedrich-Schmidt- Platz 1, Austria
Rathaus sits at Friedrich-Schmidt- Platz 1 and was completed in 1883 to serve as the city hall of Vienna. The park between The structure and the Burgtheater was designed by Hermann Rudolph Siebeck, who was also responsible for the eight statues in the central road leading to the main entrance. The design of the richly adorned facade is modeled on the Gothic architecture of Flemish and Brabant secular buildings like the Brussels Town Hall. Before they got to the park, these statues were placed on a bridge on today′s Karlsplatz in front of the Karlskirche Church. Visiting hours are listed as: Mon-Fri (8am-6pm).
