Silos de la carrière

route de Levens, Saint-André-de-la-Roche, France
In 1965, Jean Spada commissioned architect Honoré Toscan to design an industrial facility for processing limestone extracted from the Saint-André-de-la-Roche quarry. Spada had previously established a transport and material supply business in 1920 and shifted focus to limestone quarrying in 1934, capitalizing on the advantageous geological conditions and strategic location of the local limestone massif. The development highlighted the company's expansion into public works since 1938, leveraging the high-quality materials available in the region for construction and infrastructure projects.
