Stadium métropolitain Pierre Quinon

In the early 2000s, the City of Nantes and the Pays-de-la-Loire Region initiated a project for an indoor stadium to meet the winter training needs of athletes in the Grand-Ouest region. Primarily focused on athletics, the facility is designed to accommodate other sports such as badminton, handball, basketball, and volleyball. Declared a project of community interest in 2002, it was entrusted to the Urban Community of Nantes for initial studies. In 2009, Nantes University offered land on the Tertre campus to facilitate the installation of the new facility in exchange for privileged access.
