Temple protestant – Centre cultuel Renée-de-France
Religion · by Jacques Lesage · 1970
7 villa Belle-Vue, Montargis, France
The Reformed Church of Montargis, a member of the Protestant Federation of France since 1906, aimed to establish a new worship center in the late 1960s due to the inadequacy of its old temple on Rue du Général-Leclerc. The city of Montargis provided a sloped parcel of land, partly located on the castle grounds, after expropriating the previous site acquired in 1952. Local architect Jacques Lesage was commissioned for the project, with a building permit granted in 1967. Construction commenced in 1970 and was completed in 1972, resulting in a facility that includes a temple, a presbytery, and meeting rooms.
