Theater aan de Rijn

A renovation that flips the building’s relationship to the city—literally reorienting the entrance to make the theatre visible and inviting from the public realm. A light new addition houses circulation and foyer space, while the historic roof structure becomes part of the theatrical experience. It’s preservation used as a creative tool.
