Inside an old naval repair hall, new homes are inserted as a second landscape beneath a giant industrial roof. The project is compelling because it never tries to erase the hall’s former life; rough columns, deep spans, and weathered structure remain visible, giving the apartments an unusual sense of scale and memory.
