Villa Hébrard, dite villa Cherenda
House · by Hébrard Jean-Raphaël · 1972
501 chemin de Galareta, Arcangues, France
The Villa Hébrard, also known as Villa Cherenda, is an expansive house positioned as a belvedere, designed with terraces that follow the natural topography. It features two main areas: a northwest section that provides vehicle access while being shielded from the climate and visibility, and a more private south-facing section that opens generously to distant views, housing living spaces and bedrooms. The fragmented plan facilitates the organization of functions, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor living while making the landscape a backdrop for each room. Monumental chimneys contrast with the broad, sloping roofs that emerge from the ground at their edges.
