1 rue Saint-Benoît, Saint-Brieuc, France
The Ancienne Quicaillerie Bretone is strategically positioned at the intersection of two streets, serving as a landmark within the public space. Its structure features an elevated ground floor and a total height of approximately 10 meters, comprising a raised ground floor, a first floor, and a cellar. Constructed with concrete, it includes a cement-coated parapet and a two-pitched steel roof at the rear. Characterized by Modern Movement influences, the building exhibits a streamlined design reminiscent of an ocean liner, highlighted by a prominent quintuple frieze that originally displayed the business name in red capitals against a white background.
