The reconstruction of the Caisse d'allocations familiales du Calvados, designed by architect Pierre Auvray, was financed through war damages and involved the merger of several previously separate funds. The project included the main fund, the Calvados Family Union, and the Independent Workers' Fund, which were located in different sites prior to consolidation. Construction took place between November 1951 and 1953.
