Église Saint-Nicolas
Religion · by Jean Guignard · 1956
rue de Bayeux, Aurseulles, France
The Saint-Nicolas Church was reconstructed by architect Guignard in 1956, reflecting a regionalist style. It is designed in a Latin cross plan and constructed from concrete filled with stone, featuring roofs with slate coverings. A square spire crowns the bell tower attached to the north side. The church presents an austere gable façade, adorned only with fluted motifs, a twin window, and a semicircular portal. Inside, the vaulted ceiling, made of concrete arches, is painted sky blue.
