Cave coopérative vinicole
Industrial · by Gaston Ladousse · 1936
rue Coluche, Ouveillan, France
The cooperative wine cellar, established on December 30, 1935, opened its doors on September 7, 1936. Designed by architect Gaston Ladousse, this facility is notable for being his first project and reflects his ongoing oversight of renovations until his death in 1964, contributing to the architectural coherence of the building. It stands out from neighboring cellars due to its slender morphology and significant length, achieved through four successive expansions. Technically, Ladousse innovatively implemented a two-story tank system, a common practice in the Hérault region but previously abandoned in Aude after unsuccessful attempts in 1933.
