Paseo Alcalde Sánchez Prado 3, 51001 Ceuta, Spain
The Ceuta City Council, located at Paseo Alcalde Sánchez Prado 3, 51001 Ceuta, Spain, underwent adaptation and expansion between 1989 and 1993. The project was designed by the architectural firm Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos, founded by Antonio Cruz Villalón and Antonio Ortiz García. The design aimed to unify the existing building with the new addition, introducing a gallery to improve access and create a new courtyard that harmonized with the existing structure. The expansion features a large rectangular hall adjacent to the courtyard, connected to the exterior through a prominent entrance. The architectural approach emphasizes the continuity between two distinct volumes, integrating them seamlessly into the urban context. (lacasadelaarquitectura.es)
