The Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie is a major science museum set within Parc de la Villette on the site of the former Paris slaughterhouses. Designed by Adrien Fainsilber, the project reuses portions of the unfinished abattoir auction hall, retaining structural bays while introducing expansive glasshouses, long footbridges, and deep exhibition floors. The composition opens to the park and frames views toward La Géode. Inside are permanent and temporary galleries, a planetarium, laboratories for workshops, and a public science library. Generous glazing and robust concrete assemblies express a technological, didactic architecture that supports large-scale displays and public circulation.
