3 rue de Montespan, Évry-Courcouronnes, France
The Jacques Cartier School is a pioneering mixed primary school considered the first public facility that lays the groundwork for the residents’ sense of a new town. Located at the intersection of areas developed alongside the Old Village and the Champ du Coq neighborhood, the design was crafted by the architect with input from the Association for Educational Environment and the assistance of the Study and Development Company. Its layout is distinctive due to its open-plan design, promoting a contemporary and flexible educational environment.
