Religion · by A.& Philippe Verrey · 1949
14 rue Killford, Courbevoie, France
The Lutheran Church of Courbevoie, designed by architect Philippe Verrey in collaboration with his father Aloïs, is the first architectural project of Verrey. Constructed between 1947 and 1949, it is situated in a residential area, set back from the street. The concrete building features a slate-clad roof and contains a main worship space with 200 seats, accompanied by a porch. An adjoining hall with 80 seats is accessed through sliding doors. The triangular gabled façade includes a second triangular opening made of latticework, while a square bell tower topped with a masonry spire is positioned to the right.
