2 chemin du Moulin de la Roue, Moisenay, France
The Notre-Dame-de-Kazan Hermitage, founded by Orthodox priest Euthyme Wendt in Moisenay during the 1940s, features a trapezoidal stone church built against a garden wall. Its polygonal roof is adorned with triangular windows symbolizing the Trinity, strategically positioned based on celestial mapping to optimize lighting for liturgical celebrations. A narthex precedes the nave, which is marked by a glory beam featuring a medallion of Christ. The space narrows towards the sanctuary, defined by an iconostasis, creating an intimate ambiance for worship.
