Faculty of Science

Faculty of Science is an educational building in Fes associated with Henri Tastemain, dated 1960–1970. The architecture gives priority to legible classroom organization, shaded circulation and cross-ventilation, all essential to a school environment in a warm climate. The architectural language emphasizes durable mineral surfaces, concrete or masonry construction, deep shadows and practical detailing rather than applied decoration. The project is consistent with the pragmatic modernism of the period, using clear volumes and a disciplined structural order.
