20 Rue de la poste, 30 Fez, Morocco
The Museum of Islamic Art in Fez, Morocco, is housed within the mid-19th-century Dar Batha palace, originally built as a summer residence for Sultan Hassan I. The single-storey structure comprises two wings surrounding a central garden, all enclosed by a solid perimeter wall. In 2025, Frade Arquitectos transformed the palace into a museum, integrating traditional materials like stucco with modern conservation technologies to display over 6,500 artifacts, including pieces from the Andalusian and El-Karaouine mosques.
