19 boulevard Georges Perrin, Limoges, France
During the interwar period, the rise of the automobile prompted the development of new architectural programs related to car maintenance and fuel distribution. The Central Garage of Limoges, located at the intersection of Boulevard de Fleurus and Rue des Tanneries, was reconstructed in 1935 by dealer Henri Dussagne, who was also a Citroën concessionaire. The Citroën company had its own architectural service, led by Maurice-Jacques Ravazé, who likely contributed to the design of the Central Garage. The structure shares notable similarities with other Citroën showrooms built around the same time in Lyon and Tours.
