Groupe scolaire de la Maladière
Education · by Georges Parisot · 1928
6-8 rue de la fontaine, Dijon, France
The Maladière school complex, designed by Georges Parisot in 1928, is located in the residential neighborhood of the same name in northern Dijon. In response to a housing shortage during the 1920s and 1930s, the municipality acquired land in Maladière to develop HBM (bâtiments à bon marché) housing. The school serves as a central organizing element of the new district, alongside the nearby Sacré-Cœur church. This arrangement of residences clustered around essential facilities draws inspiration from Anglo-Saxon garden cities. The institution comprises a boys' school, a girls' school, a kindergarten, and a nursery.
