Immeuble de la Direction départementale de l'équipement (DDTM), bâtiment Joffre
Government & Civic · by Georges Wursteisen, Marcel Homs · 1975
20 avenue du Maréchal-Joffre, Perpignan, France
This office complex complements the existing D.D.E. building constructed between 1941 and 1944 by Joseph Berthier and Edouard Mas-Chancel, which is designated as a 20th-century heritage site. The project included the development of two office buildings and a two-level parking structure. However, only the first phase was completed, resulting in just one office building, while the second phase, which included another office building and the parking facility, was never executed. Adjacent to this site, the long building housing the technical services of the Bridges and Highways remains. The architect's role was limited to the building's design, with project execution and oversight managed by D.D.E. services.
