A new museum wing inserted into the Louvre’s Cour Visconti, conceived as subterranean galleries sheltered by a luminous canopy. The roof floats like a soft golden veil, filtering daylight and creating a calm atmosphere without competing with the historic facades. Below, the galleries are organized as a contemporary landscape of ramps and rooms, giving the collection a modern setting while maintaining a sense of continuity with the palace. The key architectural move is both bold and restrained: a memorable new element that remains deferential in height and distance. It is museum design that solves the challenge of adding space to a historic monument through lightness, precision, and controlled visibility.
