Lotissement du cirque Amar – Maison des Frères Amar
Urban planning · by René Erre · 1936
41, 43, 45, 47 rue de la Sourderie, Blois, France
The Amar circus troupe, which has been wintering in Blois since the early 1930s, established a permanent base in 1933 with the construction of a villa for its four brothers who manage the circus. In 1936, architect René Erre, active in Blois since 1921, designed four houses on rue Sourderie for each brother, solidifying their establishment. Additionally, Erre later built eleven staff pavilions in a nearby alley, forming the core of the "Amar estate."
