From the street, this compact building presents itself as a folded concrete shell—angled planes that make the facade feel like a piece of origami in mineral form. An exposed stair runs diagonally along the exterior, turning everyday circulation into the building’s main graphic element. Openings are few and sharply framed, which heightens the sense of enclosure and makes the geometry feel even more deliberate. Instead of decoration, the architecture relies on seams, joints, and the crispness of edges to create visual interest. In bright daylight, the faceted surfaces pick up hard shadows that emphasize the building’s angular profile. It’s a small-scale brutalist gesture that feels confident precisely because it refuses to explain itself.
