Social Housing Croix Rousse

A social housing project that reinterprets the local fabric of Lyon’s Croix-Rousse district in a contemporary language. The building aligns with the street to maintain continuity of the neighborhood while reorganizing apartments for modern living standards. Careful proportioning of openings and circulation gives the project a sense of generosity despite a modest program. Construction decisions emphasize durability and clarity, supporting long-term use and easy maintenance. It demonstrates how affordable housing can contribute to urban character through disciplined design rather than through spectacle.
