Culture · by Morin Éric, Lapprand Denis-Hugues, CETEC · 1988
5 rue René-Girardot, Audincourt, France
The city of Audincourt plans to construct an evolving covered sports complex (COSEC) near two vocational high schools. Programmatic studies began in 1984, leading to two preliminary designs in April. The first design features a rectangular form with numerous cylindrical extensions along its perimeter, while the second design consists of two hexagon-based volumes integrated within a larger square framework. In 1986, an architectural competition was initiated to realize the COSEC project on Rue René Girardot.
