Religion · by Pierre Villiere, Dalia D., Malherbe de N. · 1965
boulevard Lucien-Perquin, Warcq, France
Saint-Paul Church, designed by architect Pierre Villière in 1965, is located in the Bellevue Nord neighborhood of Warcq, near Charleville-Mézières. Its overall form resembles a tent, with a slightly flared plan at the back. The church is constructed from dark stone with light joints and features a slate-covered gable roof. At the rear, a three-sided pyramidal bell tower, also covered in slate, has one side open with sound holes and partial glazing. The slightly overhanging main façade, which shelters a porch, is filled with abstract and colorful stained glass designed by D.
