Gare de Vanves-Malakoff

Infrastructure · by Jean Philippot · 1933

avenue Victor-Basch ; place Albert-Culot, Vanves, France

The Vanves-Malakoff station, completed in 1935, is located adjacent to an underpass that connects Vanves to Malakoff, extending from the current Jacques-Jézéquel street. The station features a passenger courtyard on the Vanves side, bordered by a low enclosure for vehicle access. It has an L-shaped layout with one wing beneath the railway parallel to the underpass and the other positioned below the platforms on the Vanves side. The overall silhouette of the structure combines circular and rectangular forms with various projections, creating a dynamic and animated appearance.
