rue de la Poste ; 2bis rue du Palais de Justice ; rue Henri-Barboux, Châteauroux, France
The Hôtel des Postes in Châteauroux, originally designed in 1912 by municipal architect Louis Suard, was extensively revised and completed by Paul Guadet after delays caused by war. Initially commissioned by the city and still under construction in 1914, the building was acquired by the Post and Telegraph Administration in 1920. Following this acquisition, the administration requested modifications to the plans and functional layout, prompting Guadet to create a structure that reflected his architectural vision while addressing practical constraints. The resulting building bears a significant influence from both architects.
