Lycée Paul Robert
Education · by Roger Taillibert · 1994
2 rue du Château, Lilas (Les), France
The Lycée Paul Robert is situated on a constrained site, limiting both outdoor green spaces and its visibility within the city. The entrance is marked by a modest forecourt of sandstone featuring a geometric design, accentuated by a concrete prow with an accompanying steel sculpture. The architectural design is introverted due to the site's narrowness, featuring a compact layout that organizes spaces around an internal street that forms an atrium. The central atrium serves as a key area for gatherings and circulation, highlighted by a striking interior garden and gallery corridors offering panoramic views of the hall, creating restful and relaxing spaces for students.
