43 rue d'Antrain, Rennes, France
Maison Crespel, designed by architect Louis Chouinard between 1950 and 1954, is located at the intersection of rue d'Antrain and rue Saint-Martin in Rennes, France. This single-story building, set on a basement, features a reinforced concrete framework infilled with concrete blocks. Its streamlined form fits the corner lot, characterized by rounded edges and a single-sloped roof concealed by a cornice. Originally intended to accommodate both professional activities and private living spaces, it has separate entrances for the street and garden. The reception rooms, arranged in succession from the corner office on the ground floor, are divided by a slatted partition and a movable wall, allowing for flexible use of space.
