Orange Cube

Office · by Jakob + MacFarlane · 2011

A strict cubic volume is made playful by carving out oversized voids that pull in daylight, air, and river views. The pixelated skin works like a veil: dense enough to read as a single orange mass from afar, yet perforated to animate the interior with filtered light. Terraces and the rooftop become extensions of the workplace and showroom, turning circulation into a series of outdoor rooms. Its bold color leans into the former dockland setting, treating an 'industrial' palette as an urban signal rather than a compromise.
