Tour de la bibliothèque de Droit et Lettres du campus universitaire de Montmuzard

Education · by Barade Roger Martin, Durand Guy, Philippe Ménard, Gérard Thibault · 1962

3 esplanade Érasme, Dijon, France

The university library, inaugurated on October 6, 1962, was developed concurrently with the Faculty of Law as part of a plan to relocate the faculty to the Montmuzard campus, conditional on the inclusion of a library. Situated at the heart of the campus along the Érasme esplanade, the library was designed by Roger Martin Barade to serve as a central and distinctive structure. The project's significance led the General Directorate of Libraries in France to approve funding at the end of 1958, underlining the library's role as an essential element of the campus layout envisioned by rector Marcel Bouchard.
